Kid's Guidelines for Court

Always tell the truth.

Never Guess, If you don't know the answer to a question then say that you don't know. It's ok to say "I don't know"

Make sure you clearly understand the question before answering. You may ask the lawyer to repeat or rephrase the question.

When the lawyer says "Objection", wait for the Judge to say "Overrule" or "sustain"

  • "Objection" means that you cannot answer the question until the Judge says so.
  • "Overrule" means you don’t have to answer that question.
  • "Sustained" means you must answer the question.
