Attorney General Racine Congratulates Mark Tuohey on His Appointment to Lead Mayor’s Office of Legal Counsel

Washington, DC – Attorney General Karl A. Racine today congratulated Mark H. Tuohey, III on his selection by Mayor Muriel Bowser to lead the Mayor’s Office of Legal Counsel (MOLC). The new office was created to manage legal advice to executive-branch agencies in the District government after the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) became independent.

"Mark is a friend and a fantastic attorney, and he will serve the new administration well," Attorney General Racine said. "I look forward to working cooperatively with him as we both go about the task of providing sound legal advice to the Mayor and District government agencies. I congratulate both him and Mayor Bowser on his appointment to head the MOLC."

Mr. Tuohey is a long-time District lawyer with extensive experience in white-collar defense, government investigations and corporate law. He is a former prosecutor and has worked as a special prosecutor and investigator and multiple cases at the federal and state levels. Most recently, he was a partner with Brown Rudnick LLP.
