Have You Worked With Instacart or Drizly? Claim Your Tips and Wages
The Office of Attorney General is ensuring that gig workers are paid their hard-earned wages and tips. As a result, Instacart workers and workers who made deliveries through Drizly are now eligible to receive payments for deliveries they made in the District:
- Instacart workers who made deliveries in DC between October 1, 2016 and April 30, 2018 are eligible for payments of $150 or more. Submit your claim here by March 25.
- Drivers who made at least one Drizly delivery in DC between January 1, 2019, and November 14, 2022 are eligible to recover a tip of $6.75 per delivery. Submit your claim here by July 9.

Congress Needs to Stop Meddling in DC’s Governance
Last week, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to block two laws passed by the DC Council. This move was not about making our city safer or more just—it was pure political grandstanding by officials who are not elected by or accountable to District residents. Last week, I wrote to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy outlining why Congress should stay out of DC’s local affairs and talked with Reverend Al Sharpton about why DC Statehood is a fundamental matter of democracy.
Honoring Black History Month
Black history is America’s history, but it is too often overlooked, forgotten, or even erased. Now more than ever we must lift up, pay attention to and learn from the rich traditions, contributions, and struggles of African Americans. We can’t ignore history, even if it makes us feel uncomfortable. Indeed, we need to lean into the uncomfortable lessons of history to learn from them and avoid repeating the same mistakes over and over. As DC’s Attorney General, I will use every tool of the law in the fight against those who seek to deny the lived experiences, past and present, of America’s and DC’s Black community.
