OAG's Consumer and Tenant Response (CTR) is a free and voluntary process that helps resolve consumer and tenant complaints outside of court. CTR can help if:

  • The tenant is a DC resident, or
  • The tenant was a DC resident at the time the issue occurred.
  • The consumer is a DC resident, or
  • The business is located or headquartered in DC.

It only takes 5 minutes to submit your complaint online - be prepared to provide:

  • Your contact information (mailing address, phone number, email address).
  • A description of the issue and the requested resolution.
  • The name of the business or landlord the complaint is about.
