WASHINGTON, D.C. – Attorney General Karl A. Racine today issued the following statement in light of President-elect Joe Biden’s announcement that Elizabeth Wilkins, former Office of the Attorney General (OAG) senior leader, will serve as Senior Advisor to White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain. During her almost five years at OAG, Ms. Wilkins dedicated her service to protect the District’s most vulnerable residents, advance consumer protection and workers’ rights, drive OAG’s leadership on civil rights and multistate issues, and improve the agency’s internal operations.
“On behalf of my colleagues at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, I congratulate Elizabeth Wilkins—our former Chief of Staff, Senior Counsel to the Attorney General, and Senior Counsel for Policy—on her appointment to serve as Senior Advisor to President-elect Joe Biden’s Chief of Staff.
“Elizabeth possesses a rare combination of analytical, organizational, managerial, interpersonal, and policy skills that will no doubt materially contribute to President-elect Biden’s vision for our country.
“A consummate problem solver, Elizabeth has a deep understanding of a broad range of issues and opportunities that confront our country in the 21st century. We are proud of our former OAG colleague.”
