Attorney General to Discuss the OAG’s Fight against Synthetic Drugs

Attorney General Karl A. Racine will be interviewed today at 3:15 p.m. by Ari Melber, MSNBC Chief Legal Correspondent and co-host of MSNBC’s “The Cycle.”  They will discuss how the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is tackling synthetic drug sales and usage and other topics.

BACKGROUND:

The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) has been fighting synthetic drugs with different sets of enforcement and outreach tools. The OAG has taken legal actions to prevent the distribution of synthetic drugs to District residents, formed alliances with local organizations such as the Korean-American Grocers Association to inform business owners about the legal consequences of synthetic drugs and distributed educational pamphlets to the public about the dangers and effects of synthetic drugs.
