Learn About CURE THE STREETS and Our Grant Application Process

If you missed the Cure the Streets information session, you can reference the presentation link here.

Cure the Streets (CTS), a pilot public safety program aimed at reducing gun violence in targeted neighborhoods in the District. CTS offers grants of up to $814,000 to nonprofits during fiscal year 2022 to help implement the goals of the program and expand efforts to stop gun violence. Programs that receive these grants will implement the Cure the Streets program within the CTS specific target areas in Wards 5, 7, and 8 that are specifically chosen because of their high rates of gun violence. As violence interrupters, Cure the Streets works to stop violence before it starts.

Nonprofit 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) executives, administrators, program staff, and board members are invited to attend our Information Sessions to learn about our fiscal year 2022 grant guidelines and process. Participation is not required to apply for our grants, but it is strongly encouraged.

Please join us for our virtual information sessions on July 12 at 6:00pm to learn more. Our Co-chiefs and Grant Administrator will review our guidelines, walk through the application, provide direction, and answer applicant questions. Click on the link below to RSVP.
