WHO/WHAT:
The Office of the Attorney General (OAG), which prosecutes traffic violations that can be attributed to alcohol use, has created an educational seminar for college students called “Sobriety Check.” This program is primarily aimed at incoming freshmen to alert them about the consequences of alcohol-related traffic violations and how otherwise law-abiding students can easily find themselves in a precarious situation after consuming alcohol or drugs. The seminar is interactive and will teach college students about the dangers of alcohol consumption. OAG staff will present the seminars to students at several colleges and universities in the District, starting with incoming students at Howard University.
