Racine joined a coalition of 16 attorneys general in filing an amicus brief with the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, challenging an Ohio state law that would defund Planned Parenthood and other health service providers that perform or promote abortions.

Racine this week joined a coalition of 19 attorneys general in filing a friend-of-the-court brief strongly opposing the Trump Administration’s decision to roll back a requirement under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) for employers to include birth control coverage in their health insurance plans.

Racine, the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) released a “Frequently Asked Questions” (FAQs) document regarding Initiative 71 and other District laws related to marijuana. The document aims to clarify the state of the law in the District after Initiative 71, which legalizes the possession and use of small amounts of marijuana in certain limited circumstances, became effective today.

The first of four new cases is against a Maryland woman who coerced a blind, vulnerable, elderly man struggling to pay for his basic needs into handing over nearly all of his social security income.
