WASHINGTON, D.C. – Attorney General Karl A. Racine today filed a lawsuit against Polymer80, Inc., a gun manufacturer that sells untraceable partially-assembled semi-automatic rifles and handguns, for advertising and selling illegal guns to District consumers. In this consumer protection lawsuit, the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) alleges that Polymer80 violates District law by falsely representing that its weapons are legal in the District and by selling illegal firearms.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Attorney General Karl A. Racine today filed a lawsuit against the owners and managers of 3003 Van Ness Apartments, a rent-controlled apartment property, for allegedly making misrepresentations to consumers about the true rental rates for rent-controlled apartments and about how much rent could legally be raised in the future. The complaint alleges that Smith Properties Holdings Van Ness, L.P. and Equity Residential Management, L.L.C. use rent concessions to mislead consumers into signing leases without providing them with all the material terms.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Attorney General Karl A. Racine today announced that he has filed two new lawsuits against two D.C. government employees and a D.C. public charter school teacher who, the suits allege, have committed tuition fraud. The suits seek more than $800,000 in repayments for tuition, damages, and penalties.
