WASHINGTON, D.C. – Attorney General Karl A. Racineand 45 other state attorneys general today announced they have reached a $120 million settlement with Johnson & Johnson and its subsidiary, DePuy, to resolve allegations that the companies made false claims about reliability in promoting two hip implant devices. While the companies claimed success rates near 100 percent for the ASR XL and Pinnacle Ultamet devices, the real rates were actually much lower.
